Anthony J. Schiavo, 62, of West Deptford, on Jan. 22nd at Underwood Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Son of the late Anthony & Marie (nee Lofft) Schiavo, Anthony is survived by his wife of 40 years Christina (nee Capone); three sons Anthony of Mt. Ephraim, Daniel (Laura) of West Deptford & Christopher of National Park; three grandchildren Jagar, Alicia & Josh Schiavo; brother Michael of Audubon; sister Marie Elena Bradley of Glassboro and aunt Virginia Lofft of Medford Lakes.
Anthony was born in Philadelphia and has resided in West Deptford since 1971. He was a cofounder of the Youth Soccer League of West Deptford and active in Little League baseball and was an avid Phillies Fan. He was equally at home in Stone Harbor, NJ where he enjoyed family vacations and pursued his hobbies of boating & fishing. One of his greatest joys was gathering family & friends to entertain them and to keep strong the bonds that knit them together.
Anthony was the owner of his family business, ASE Sign Design of Woodbury and spent 25 years working at Geon Corp/Oxy Vinyls in Pedricktown, NJ.
Family & friends are invited Wednesday 10:30am with the Mass being celebrated at 11am at St. Matthews Roman Catholic Church in National Park under the direction of DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES 171 Delaware St. Woodbury, NJ. In lieu of flowers the family invites you to attend a Phillies game in Anthony's memory.
