Carol A. Bowersox

December 26, 1936 — February 26, 2024

Carol A. Bowersox,  87, a lifetime resident of Woodbury, NJ passed away on Monday, February 26,2024. She passed quietly and peacefully.

Carol was born and raised in Woodbury, attending all local schools. She enjoyed many hours of fun cheerleading for WHS and spending time with friends. She was quite the tom boy and threw herself into any and all activities.

During her adult years she was employed at Texaco before entering her dream job as an airline stewardess with World Airlines. While with them she traveled the world and eventually took on a management position. Sadly, World Airlines folded, and Carol started a 25-year employment position with Amtrak.

Upon retirement Carol enjoyed traveling to far-off places with her 2 sisters. Flying, cruising, taking the train…the three girls loved it all. When she wasn’t on the run, she loved working on her home and refinishing furniture. She also was an avid game player and loved her bridge games with friends. As a member of the Presbyterian Church at Woodbury, she cherished her church family.

Carol was predeceased by her parents, Dr. & Mrs. C. Bowersox, and her two sisters, Joanne B. Brown and Marilyn Vennell. She is survived by her family, Carol-Sue & Lee Bailey, Richard & Celeste Brown, Barbara Heim and Bonnie Bowersox. She also was blessed with many great nieces and nephews and L.A. Waller.

If you would like to contribute a memorial donation on Carol’s behalf the family suggest a donation to the Presbyterian Church, 67 S. Broad St. Woodbury, NJ 08096. Memories and condolences shared at daviswagner.com
