Catherine J. Vetrone

Catherine J. Vetrone (nee Metzler) passed peacefully on her 92nd birthday on January 14, 2018.
The daughter of Catherine and Jeremiah Wm Metzler, she was born and raised in South Philadelphia. In 1960, she and her husband moved to Mt. Ephraim, NJ where they raised their daughters. Catherine remained a resident there for 54 years.
A dedicated mother and homemaker, Catherine spent many hours sewing clothes for her children and canning/preserving the fruits and vegetables grown by her husband.
Catherine had an unwavering faith in God. She was a longtime member of the 1st United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school for 40 years. She also participated in the church choir, worked at the thrift shop and served at many church dinners.
Catherine enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and traveling.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 30 years, Jack Vetrone and grandson, Brian Delaney.
During the last 15 years of her life, Catherine was lovingly cared for by daughter, Jeanne Bickford, and granddaughter, Stephanie Bickford.
Catherine will be greatly missed by daughters, Jeanne Bickford and her husband Jerry and Joyce Delaney and husband Bud. She will also be missed by grandchildren Stephanie and Ashley Bickford, Timothy Frantz and Matthew Delaney and great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Jeremy Frantz and Riley, Payden and Brodie Delaney.
At Catherines request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Burial was private for immediate family only. Memories and condolences shared at daviswagner.com
