Catherine Shannon

Catherine Shannon (nee Locklear), 85, of West Deptford, passed away on May 3, 2021. Catherine was born in McColl, SC and has resided in West Deptford for 50 years. She was the Cellar manager at Macys for 25 years. She was a Girl Scout Leader, a seamstress and a member of the Eastern Star & West Deptford Little Theater. She liked to garden and had a green thumb with her roses. She loved sitting by her wood burning fireplace along with her dogs watching Hallmark.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband Arnold and her brother David. She is survived by her children Deborah (James) Gould, Arnold (Ruth) Shannon & Ronald (Leanne) Shannon; sisters Ophelia Kitchen, Virgie Montoya, Margaret Labean, Jeanette Redbrook & Geneva Williams; grandchildren Desirae (Jarrod) Fetty, L. Ryan (Chelsea) & Justin (Krystal) Blaum, Brittany (Brian) Smith, and Nicky (Kristen), Caitlyn, Kaylie & Alyssa Shannon; great grandchildren Riley, Brielle, Devon, Logan, Ashton, Aiden, Claire, Chloe & Penelope; sister-in-law Aurelia 'Mickey' Miller and several in-laws and many nieces & nephews.
Visitation 11am Friday May 7th until the Service at 1pm at the DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL HOME 171 Delaware St. Woodbury, NJ 08096. Internment Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arnold Shannon Memorial Scholarship c/o West Deptford High School 1600 Crown Point Rd, West Deptford, NJ 08093.
