Charles B. McNally died on August 31, 2010 from pulmonary fibrosis. He is survived by his beloved wife Dorothy A. (Stoffels) McNally and their three children of whom he was most proud: Michael J. McNally of Weare, NH, Kathleen M. Edelman of Weston, Fl, and David P. McNally of Wenonah, NJ and daughter-in-laws, Mary McMahon McNally and Melissa Reiser McNally. He is also survived by four, much loved grandchildren: Conor Edelman, Megan McNally, Jordan Edelman, and Morgan McNally.

Mr. McNally is also survived by his older brother, John J. McNally (Cecilia) and two younger sisters, Elizabeth Castellane (Nicholas) and Helen Dolbow (and the late William Dolbow).

Mr. McNally graduated from Woodstown High School in 1949, William and Mary College in 1953, and received a Masters Degree from Villanova University in 1963.

After graduating from college, Mr. McNally served in the USMC as a commissioned officer and did tours of duty in Japan and Korea.

Mr. McNally was employed by the West Deptford Board of Education from September 1, 1961 to June 30, 1993. He served three years as high school Latin teacher before being transferred into administration. He was made superintendent of schools in 1970 and held that position until he retired. He had many dear friends in the school system and township and was always proud to have had the opportunity to serve the fine caliber of students who attended the West Deptford School System.

There was nothing more dear to Mr. McNally then the time he had to spend with his wife, family, and friends. He enjoyed reading, traveling, sports (tennis, golf, and skiing) and was a member of the West Deptford Lions Club, the S.J. Skiters Ski Club and several professional organizations.

Mr. McNally had been a member of St. Mathews RC Church in National Park since he and his wife moved to River Winds Village in 2001. A memorial Mass will be at St. Patrick's Church 86 Cooper Street, Woodbury, NJ on Friday, September 3 at 11:30 a.m. The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the services at St. Patrick's Church from 10am to 11:30am. Entombment will be at the Gloucester County Veteran's Cemetery, Williamstown, NJ.
