Dennis F. Weber (Denny),68, a lifetime resident of West Deptford, passed away on October 17, 2020. When it came to his career, Denny was a natural craftsman, using his gifted-hands to create or make things 'like new' again.Whether he was building a home, refurbishing his beloved 69 Camaro, or decorating a three-tier wedding cake, his talents were evident.
At the age of 20, after attending a construction-focused contractors school in Florida, Denny started Webers Contracting. Soon thereafter, life would lead him to hang up his hard hat to help his parents with the family business, Ogles Cafeteria, later to be renamed Webers Cafeteria. In 1993, Denny and his sister, Sandy, became co-owners of the restaurant until it closed its doors in 2008. As arestaurant owner and baker, Denny was knownfor his delicious snowflake rolls, pies and cakes.
No longer having to run the restaurant, Denny went back to his passion and started D & J Contractors Company, where he worked until retiring in 2019. But, retirement did not stop him as he renovated his daughters house and completed it just before his passing.
Legacy
Denny was a loyal, hard-working man devoted to his family. He was a man of few words, but loved the outdoors. He enjoyed boating with friends, vacations with his wife, Jeanie, toJamaica and in his earlier days, trips to Maine hunting and snowmobiling. He could always be seen wearing his trademark flannel shirt, jeans and trucker hat. Denny enjoyed attending his grandsons sporting events and was a proud Poppy.
Family
Dennis was predeceased by his son, Christopher, parents Audrey (nee Leeds) and Frank Weber, and his sisters Diane DeFay and Sandy Moszkowicz.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years Jeanie (nee Matlock) Weber; daughter Katie (Robert Jr.) Wolfe of West Deptford and three grandchildren Christopher, Jaxon and Zachary; and many brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousinsand dear friends.
