Diane F. Holdstein Allen

d. May 14, 2011

Diane F. Holdstein Allen, died suddenly on Saturday, May 14th 2011. She is now amongst the angels. The sudden accident took the life of a beautiful person.

Diane loved life and tried to live life to the fullest. If you could ask her, she would tell you of her love for Cancun and Hawaii. She would often speak of the beautiful waters and the peacefulness of the sitting in the sand at some tropical paradise, the Outer Banks or simply the Jersey shores. Her real passion shined through in the love of her three children: Brian, Laura and Kyle. The unconditional adoration she had for them came in many forms. Whether it was typing a paper, taking them to their various sporting events, calming their fears or healing their hearts; she loved them as only a mother could and that warmth was something they knew and will continue to feel everyday.

Diane was one of nine children. Her brothers and sisters: Doug, Wally, Becky, Rob, Libby, Laura, Sherry and Chris all shared a bond that was the strength of the Holdstein family, and everything it represented. She enjoyed their company, be it at various parties and events, or simply emailing them for updates to see how they and their families were doing. The strong family values that she so cherished were instilled upon her by her dear parents, Wally and Joan Holdstein. A beautiful loving family of which she felt so proud and lucky to be a member. This sense of family extended towards her nieces and nephews, her neighbors, her work family and everyone else close to her heart.

Diane also enjoyed Philly's sports, which could best be exemplified through her love of the Eagles. One time T.O. actually winked at her much to her enjoyment. She was a strong willed woman of great mental fortitude that shined through in her ability to debate social and political arguments, something she often found herself on the winning side. Diane enjoyed laying around the house in her flannels getting cozy, but also loved getting out and being active. Whether it be gardening in the yard or at the gym working out.

There is much more I can tell you about Diane, because I have known her for 37 years. She was a beautiful woman, great wife, wonderful mother and caring friend to those fortunate enough to be touched by her. There is a tremendous hole in the hearts of her children, brothers, sisters, and friends that can never be filled only lessened by the knowledge that she loved us all. There is a gaping hole in my heart, because I loved her and will always miss her. May God treat her with the grace she so deserved, and have mercy on her everlasting soul.

Bruce and her loving children Brian , Laura, Kyle, Tyson & Heidi.
