Eleanor M. Houser (nee Plotts), 86, of West Deptford, passed away on October 24, 2014. Eleanor was born in Philadelphia; she resided in National Park for 69 years before moving to West Deptford. She was a communicant of St. Matthew Church.

Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Walter; brother Edward Plotts & 3 grandchildren. She is survived by her children Eleanor "Sunday" Oxley, John (Laura) Kelly, Vincent Kelly, Jane "Jenny" Hertz, Patricia Morck, Dennis Kelly & Theresa (Ken) Bock; brothers Joseph & John (Margaret) Murphy; 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 4 nieces, 4 nephews & Godmother of her grandson Kenny.

Many thanks to Chris, Sherrish, Jessie and Kaye, as well as Sally Maurer of Phoenix House, Calls Assoc. of NJ and Bayada Hospice.

Our dearest mother selflessly devoted her life to her family and taught us, by example, to love and cherish one another and our time together. She was a gentle, compassionate and courageous woman, whose strong faith sustained her throughout her life and personal struggles.

We honor and celebrate the life of this extraordinary and gracious woman whom we were blessed to call Mom. You are with us always.

Visitation Saturday 10am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Matthew Church 4th & Monument Ave. National Park, NJ under the direction of DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES Woodbury, NJ.
