George J. Bowen

George J. Bowen, 80, of West Deptford, passed away suddenly on February 9, 2024. George was born in Camden and has resided in West Deptford since 1968. He was a tractor trailer driver for 57 years, most of which were as an owner/operator, accumulating more than 7 million accident-free miles, for which he received many safe driver awards. He last worked for JMP Logistics since 2014. His passion for driving began when he joined the Army National Guard in 1960 and had the opportunity to get a military drivers license, and drive Army Gasoline Tankers. George was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He enjoyed spending time with his family, going down the shore and camping.

George is survived by his wife of 62 years Nancy (nee Tremarcke) Bowen; 3 children Patricia (Stephanie) Bowen of Quinton, Barbara (Keith) Brown of Woodstown & George Jr. of Pittsgrove; grandson Nathan Brown of Woodstown; sisters Carol Jewiss & Anna Koloski both of West Deptford & Margaret McAteer of Pitman; brother-in-law Sam Tremarck, as well as many nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters Barbara, Louise, Mary, Ruby & Katherine and brothers John, James & Edward.

Visitation 10am Friday February 16th until the service at 11am at the DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL HOME 171 Delaware St. Woodbury, NJ. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. Memories & condolences shared at daviswagner.com
