Jane F. Davis

Jane F. Davis (nee Hill) 76, of Woodbury, NJ peacefully passed on March 1 at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center. Loved by all who knew her, Jane was the quintessential wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She lived a joyful life cherishing her family and taking care of those she loved.
Survived by her loving husband of 49 years Donnell Davis, Sr. Predeceased by her beloved son Thomas and her dear brother Jack Hill. Devoted mother to Dale (Joanne) of Woodbury, Mark (Susan) of Newark, DE, Donnell Jr. (Sherrie) of West Deptford, Jeffrey (Linda) of Dover, DE and Anthony (Song) O'Connor of Pittsgrove.
Jane's defining and favorite role was that of "Grammy." Her pride and joy includes Dale, Brendan, Cullen, Maggie, T-Budd, Nate, Josh, Zach, and Elle. Jane maintained a busy schedule filled with their sporting and scholastic events. Her caring ways and unconditional love were a rare example of pure devotion.
Born in Camden, Jane resided in West Deptford for 27 years before moving to Woodbury. Jane enjoyed a thirty-year career as the office manager of the family business, Kingsway Awning Company. Owned and operated by her brother Jack and his family, Jane was the "First Lady" of the business handling daily operations with the dedication and class she brought to all her endeavors.
Jane was the past president of the Friendship Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, the Woodbury Little League & Babe Ruth Baseball Ladies Auxiliaries. She was also a member of Kemble Methodist Church.
Jane's other passions included her circle of close friends, Monday Night Card Club, Ocean City vacations, cruising, reading, baking, shopping and seasonal decorating. Her annual Christmas Eve Open House and New Year's Day party was a tradition for scores of family and friends. No one ever went home hungry, thirsty or empty handed.
Family and friends can visit on Wed. 6-9 pm and Thursday 10 am until the service at 11 am at the DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES 171 Delaware St. Woodbury, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the American Heart Association.
