Joseph H. Bornmann

Joseph H. Bornmann, of West Deptford, passed away on November 3, 2016.
He was 86 years young. He was the devoted and beloved husband of Ruth
Bornmann. She was his everything and meant the world to him. He is survived by
his children, Denise (Armand) Perez, Joseph (Carole) Bornmann, Lois (Scott) Hasson,
Dawn (James) Royce, and Rebecca (David) Flannigan, as well as by his siblings Ed,
Dell, Bea, Virginia, Ruth, Steve, and Eugene. He had 14 grandchildren and 11 great-
grandchildren. He was a United States Navy Veteran of 5 years. He was also a
licensed Minister and as such Joseph followed the call of God on his life in ministry
and in proclaiming Gods word to those with an ear to listen. He was an Elder for
many years at Bethel Church in Blackwood. He had a passion for the prison ministry
and served in the prisons for 25+ years. He was a man of not only great faith, but
perseverance as well. If we had one word to describe him, it would be an
encourager for he always had words of encouragement for everyone he
encountered and always shared Gods love and word with them. He has touched the
hearts of many people throughout his life making them better individuals from his
wisdom and simply by knowing him. To be in the presence of Joseph Bornmann was
to be surrounded by wisdom and profound love that allowed us just a small glimpse
into the character of our Savior. He was an ordinary man called by God to do
extraordinary things, and he fulfilled that calling with the utmost reverence,
humility, and grace. Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Well done.
Visitation Tuesday 6pm until the Funeral Service at 8pm at the Bethel Christian Church

at the Church under the direction of DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL HOME Woodbury, NJ.
