Margo Mari Pfeiffer

May 28, 1944 — March 20, 2013

Margo Mari (Hawthorne) Pfeiffer, 68, of Sea Isle City/Gibbstown. As the sun rose early on the morning of March 20th Jesus called his sweet angel, Margo home, after her brave battle with cancer. She was born to the late Frederick Hawthorne and Eleanor Weller on May 28, 1944 in Camden, NJ. She graduated from Gloucester High in 1962 before attending Glassboro State University where she received her Bachelor's degree in Education in 1966.

In 1965, she married the love of her life, Harry Pfeiffer and moved to Gibbstown, NJ. She began teaching in Bellmawr, NJ where she dedicated her time to shaping the lives of children from 1966 to 2002. She spent her summers with her family in her own private "heaven on earth," Sea Isle City. She was a founding member of the Gibbstown Girl Basketball League, serving as secretary for 5 years.

She was predeceased by her brothers Stephen and Frederick Hawthorne. She is survived by her husband Harry Joseph Pfeiffer Jr.; daughters, Kristen Pfeiffer Butler and husband Alan Butler of Bel Air, Maryland; Dawn Pfeiffer Rayno and her husband Michael Rayno of Virginia Beach, VA and her 4 beloved grandchildren Olivia and Grace Butler, Ethan and Colin Rayno. She is also survived by her brother David Hawthorne and best friend Marie Daly.

Visitation 10am April 5, 2013 until the Memorial Service at 11am at Clonmell United Methodist Church 516 W. Broad Street, Gibbstown, NJ 08027 under the direction of DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES Woodbury, NJ. In lieu of flowers, Margo would like donations made to Clonmell United Methodist Church or Sea Isle City Methodist Church 4102 Central Ave. Sea Isle City, NJ 08243.
