Mary A. Sherritze

Mary Alice Lovin Sherritze, age 84 died on April 10, 2023. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother (MeeMaw), sister, Aunt and friend. She had a long marriage of 60 years to her high school sweetheart, Dillon Louis Sherritze.
She and her husband had 3 daughters and considered them and her grandchildren the crowning jewels of their long life together.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dillon Louis Sherritze and her oldest daughter, Mary Louisa. Her other daughters Sonja Sherritze and Sylvia Sherritze are still living. Her 2 grandchildren are Amanda Rania and Matthew Rania. She is also survived by her sister, Charlotte (Roger) Quincoses and several nieces, grand nieces and a grand nephew.
Mary Sherritze had a bachelors degree in English from the University of Tennessee. She worked as a teacher when she lived in Tennessee and then when she moved to Connecticut she got a masters degree in social work from the University of Connecticut. She worked for several years in the social work field in Connecticut, Missouri and New Jersey.
