Obituary

Thomas K. Philippi, Sr., 80 years of Washington, Twp. died August 31.

Thomas retired after twenty-five years as a maintenance engineer for Huntsman Chemical Co., of West Deptford. He was an Army Veteran.

Thomas loved life. He loved his wife of fifty-six years and his children and grandchildren. He was an avid spectator and fan for all his children and grandchildren. Tom graduated from Woodbury High School in 1949 where he had been a football player. He was a carpenter for William Cundy for several years. He then worked for Shell Chemical Co. and later at Huntsman Chemical Co. After retiring he had a part time job with Napa Auto Body Shop, which he loved. Tom enjoyed working for the Relay for Life team every year. He also loved his New Sharon United Methodist Church family. Tom was always ready to help anyone who needed help. He belonged to the Huntsman Poly-Pros Retirement Club and took many trips with them. He enjoyed driving cross country on his many trips. He lived a great life and will be missed by many.

Tom is survived by his wife Doris E. (nee Baker); two sons, Thomas K., Jr. (Lori) of Washington Twp., and Donald E. (Valerie) of Mullica Hill, and daughter, Cindy J. Parise (Rocco) of Erial; seven grandchildren, Thomas, Nicolas, Shane, and Gina Philippi; Jena, Erica and Jon Parise.

The viewing will be held at Davis and Wagner Funeral and Cremation Services, 171 Delaware St., Woodbury, NJ on Thursday, Sept. 2 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday after 9:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, Hurffville, NJ.
