Beatrice Bajela

Beatrice Bajela, 83, of Woodbury, passed away on May 23, 2022. Beatrice was born in Abeokuta, Nigeria and has resided in the United States since August of 1996. She began teaching in 1970 and retired as a Chief Education Officer for Lagos States Ministry of Education in Nigeria in 1996. Beatrice was a volunteer at the Salvation Army, Whole Life Ministry, Veterans Hospital and elementary schools in Augusta, GA.
Beatrice was predeceased by her husband Raphael Bajela and her siblings Fredrick Olusegun Sowemimo, Sophia Olufunke Sowemimo Oyetola & Christopher Adebayo Sowemimo. She is survived by her children Olurotimi Bajela of Manchester, UK and Olubanke Ayedun of Augusta, GA;siblings Mercy Olubisi Sowemimo Sanyaolu, Comfort Olufemi Sowemimo Adefiranye, , Solomon Abiodun Sowemimo, Motunrayo Sowemimo and Sunday Sowemimo and her grandchildren Victoria Bajela, David Bajela, Oluwatobi Ayedun, Oluwatola Ayedun, Oluwakemi Bajela and Dayeabasi Bajela.
