Caren Ruth Albertson passed away on Sunday morning June 28, 2026. She was 75 years old. Born to Charles and Esther Albertson on June 3rd, 1951, Caren was a lifelong resident of Woodbury where she attended Kemble Memorial United Methodist Church. She graduated from Woodbury High School and later earned an associate’s degree from Gloucester County College. She worked at the Woodbury Times. Caren shaped many young lives as a troop leader for the Girl Scouts 153 and a troop Leader for the Brownies 256. She enjoyed camping, crafts and photography.
She is fondly remembered by her loving companion of 40 years George Ivins; sister Carol Ann Brestle; niece Jennifer Brestle; nephew James Brestle; her great nephew James Brestle Jr., and her great great nephew Zeke Brestle. Caren's absence will be deeply felt by her circle of devoted friends.
Caren was predeceased by her parents Charles Albertson and Esther (nee Fisher) Albertson Duncan; stepfather Ernest Duncan Jr.; stepbrother Ernest Duncan III and stepsister Carol Davis.
Visitation Monday July 6th 11:30am until the service at 1pm at the DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES 171 Delaware St. Woodbury, NJ 08096. Internment Eglington Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared at daviswagner.com
