Obituary
Charles W. Sakenas Sr., 89, of Vineland, passed away peacefully in his home on January 28, 2023. Charles was born in Delair, NJ; he built his own home and resided in Richwood before moving to Vineland in 1994. He was a snowbird and spent his winters in Punta Gorda, FL. He was a welder with the United Association of Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 322 in Winslow, NJ. Charles served in the US Army. He was a kind and gentle man; an avid golfer and builder and he enjoyed sailing and skiing.
Charles is survived by his wife Barbara (Wolverton) Sakenas; children Charles (Gina) Sakenas Jr. of Ocean City, Gregg Sakenas of Westville; Susan Ritchie (fianc Philip) of Marlton, Kim Riddell of Gloucester, Keith (Cindy) Riddell of Sewell & Jonathan (Maria) Riddell of National Park; sister Nancy Houston; 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
