Dorothy V. Hill

Dorothy "Dottie" Virginia Ann Hill (nee: Passarella), age 78, of Wenonah, NJ passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022. Born on October 20, 1944, to the late Joseph and Jennie Rispoli Passarella, Dottie grew up in Southwest Philadelphia. She was also a former resident of Delaware County, PA.
Dottie worked at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in the Chemistry lab, during her 20s, for ten years. She was employed at the Clifton Yarn Mill in Clifton Heights. She also worked in management at the Pine Street Apartments in Darby.
Dottie met her loving husband John many moons ago in 1969 at the Driftwood Piano Bar on 69th Street, Upper Darby, PA. On September 13, 1969, Dottie and John married at Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church in SW Philadelphia. They celebrated their honeymoon in Atlantic City, NJ. Dottie and John renewed their vows on September 14, 2019, for their 50th Wedding Anniversary.
Dottie enjoyed many trips to the Jersey Shores. She also took trips to her husbands hometown Marquette, Michigan. Dottie was a super fan of Elvis Presley. She loved to crochet. Her other hobbies were puzzles, participating in craft shows, and going to the farmers markets.
Dottie is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, John Wayne Hill, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother William J. Passarella Sr. and sister Rosemarie McClintock.
Visitation 11am until the memorial service at 12 noon Monday November 7th at the DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 171 Delaware Street, Woodbury, NJ.
