Robert Schwartz, also known as Dad, Pop Pop, Oz, Ozzy, Oz Man, age 76, passed away on February 25, 2026, surrounded by those who loved him.
Robert grew up in a busy home in Philadelphia, surrounded by a tight-knit community of brothers, sisters, cousins, friends and family. He spent his summers in North Wildwood and loved it so much that he continued to summer there during his retirement years. You could always count on finding Oz sitting on the dock with a beer and a fishing rod in his hand. A proud member of the Greater Wildwood Elks Lodge #1896, he loved everything about the shore, especially, beach days, boating, fishing, and crabbing with his beloved grandchildren. When not down the shore, he resided in Woodbury, NJ, which he called home for 42 years. There, he could often be found in his home woodworking shop, happily building everything from handcrafted furniture to small treasures made especially for his grandchildren.
Growing up in Philadelphia, he attended Bishop Neumann High School. After graduating, he began what would become a 44-year long career at Boeing. Shortly after starting his career, he was drafted into the military and proudly served as a United States Marine during the Vietnam War.
Robert is survived by Valerie Schwartz; his daughters Robin (Chris) Baker and Julie (John) Fordham; sister Frances (Paul) Kircher; brothers Daniel & Brian Schwartz and his cherished grandchildren Reese & Cole Baker and Margo, Esme & Isaac Fordham. He was predeceased by his parents, Frances & John Schwartz; his brother, John Schwartz; and his sister, Eileen Simone.
In keeping with Robert’s wishes, we will be hosting a visitation at his home, a space filled with love, laughter, and so many memories.
