Catherine A. (Lucas) De Pietro

February 22, 1928 ~ January 30, 2021 (age 92)


Catherine A. De Pietro (nee Lucas), 92, a lifetime resident of West Deptford, passed away on January 30, 2021. Born in Camden, NJ, Catherine worked at her Aunt Lena Hallet’s Restaurant in Gloucester during WWII serving our Army and Navy service man. There after she worked for Bell Telephone for a brief time and then became a full-time homemaker. 

Catherine was predeceased by her husband Lewis J. De Pietro Sr. a veteran of the US Merchant Marines. She is survived by her children Carol (Raymond) Chintall of West Deptford, Lewis J. De Pietro Jr. of West Deptford and James (Michele) De Pietro West Deptford; 6 grandchildren Jason (Alexis), Lewis (Janice), Gus, Cory (Michelle), Lauren & Tony (Suzanne) and 13 great grandchildren, Sarina, Sebastian, Leonardo, Luigi, Lucas, Josephine, Catherine, Cory, Jr, Michael, James, Evan, Lilly & Alana.

Dear sister of John (Ellen) Lucas, sister-in-law Eileen Burke, Vincent (Barbara) De Pietro, the late Terrance De Pietro, James De Pietro, Josephine De Pietro and Dolores McCaffery.

Our Mom was a very special person. She had a sparkling, caring and loving personality that warmed the hearts of everyone she met. She loved her family very much and was a little lady with a big heart. Thank you Mom for all the love you gave us. We will miss your sweet little smile and we keep all those wonderful memories in our hearts forever.
